Pad Printing is a process whereby an inked image is transferred from an etched plate to a silicone pad. The pad is then pressed against the object that is being printed and the image is transferred.

Pad printing is mainly used for promotional items and corporate gifts such as golf balls, pens, mugs and many other industrial items. As the silicone pad is soft, it is able to flex and wrap around surfaces that are not completely flat, making pad printing ideal for curved surfaces.

Pad printing is done one colour at a time. The registration between colours is done within the same tolerances of a four colour process print.
